Range
of Intellectual Interests:
Apart from the
professional field of forestry and its role in environmental conservation and
poverty alleviation, I am deeply interested in the basic sciences and their
actual and potential role in human welfare; in scientific bases of ethics,
morality, and organisation of human societies. I am particularly interested in
exploring possibilities of promoting direct action by communities in governance
in the field of economic development at local level.
