Dr.
CHINMAYA S. RATHORE
Dr. Chinmaya S. Rathore
is currently working as Associate Professor at the Indian institute of
Forest Management , Bhopal , India , in the faculty area of Applied Computer
Technology. He holds and M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science and another
MS from the University of Aberdeen, U.K. in Environmental Remote Sensing.
Areas of expertise include GIS, Remote Sensing , computer applications,
database management systems , internet programming , computer hardware
and networking . He has also worked in the area of expert systems and
artificial intelligence. He
has been a system administrator with long experience in administering
campus networks. He has considerable experience in GIS and digital image
processing.Prior to joining the Indian Institute of Forest Management
at Bhopal, he worked as a member of the faculty at the Indian School of
Mines, Dhanbad. He was also a Leverhulme fellow at the University of Aberdeen,
UK. In the recent years he has done consultancy work for DFID and World
bank sponsored MP Forestry Project. He
has many publications to his credit in national and international journals.
